Whoever can give their time to others has the gift of love; whoever can recognize the ordinary but precious qualities in others is loved by many people.
"Type of Dialogues" is a comics project that only began after I came to the Netherlands. I have kept wondering what has been leading me to draw these comics day after day. Recently I found a new answer — when the psychological distance between me and the people I love disappeared, I was forced to learn how to create space.“
Over the past two years, when there was no longer any psychological distance between me and the people I love, both they and I had to build space for these relationships.
Looking back at these comics, I and the people I love have both gradually become people who are able to build space for each other. Of course, among them there were also many people who left behind many unfinished spaces, then departed. I call those unfinished yet remaining spaces "rest areas" — which is also the line that keeps repeating throughout Dialogue Type: "Take time!"

A comic about time and dialogue. At the start of 2023, I began a fictional story that has since grown into seven chapters. It is a work that moves from conversation, searching for a certain state, to the stilling of a moment. Every line of dialogue appears in both Chinese and English, and the passage between the two languages becomes part of the comic's own texture. More than a comic, it is a way of understanding the world I inhabit.
